Australia Is a
Rich Country.

We’ve had enough of being told to lower our expectations.

A decent life here shouldn’t require wealthy parents or friends in Parliament.

A Home

We should be able to afford somewhere to live.

Homelessness is out of control and Australians are living in tents. But government is using the Future Fund and Crown land to ‘invest’ in wildly expensive student accommodation. Public money also pays the investors who own disability institutions, called Specialist Disability Accommodation.

Most people with very high support needs live at home. In 2022 the ABS found 85% of people with a profound disability lived in households, not cared accommodation (ABS, Disability, Ageing and Carers 2022). They are being treated as a commodity, and the rules are forcing them back into institutional care.

Care

Get the care we need.

The NDIS has been cut by astronomical amounts. Under the new rules, scores of disabled children and adults are being removed from the scheme, refused entry or left without the supports they need.

Government has also brought punitive algorithms and automated decision making into veterans’ care, aged care and disability, and is putting our privacy and security at risk.

A Small Business

Run a small business without being swallowed by a bigger one.

From pets to childcare, from disability services to smash repairs, shadowy figures have been working in the background to roll up whole industries, package them up and flog them off to the highest bidder.

The disability, aged care and childcare markets have been sold off. The NACC hasn’t stopped it, so we’ve got the receipts on who did it, and why.

A Future

Give our kids a chance at something beyond working until they drop.

Australia should still offer what we dreamed of in the 1970s: equality, freedom, mateship and a fair go. Instead, our kids are growing up thinking this is normal. More parents are living in poverty, struggling with homelessness and turning to drugs and alcohol.

We don’t want to be the USA, with megaprisons making money from detention and justice, and citizens played by bullshit narratives.

These are reasonable expectations for people living in a rich country. We’ve had enough of being told otherwise.

226
Federal Parliamentarians

They Work for Us.

There are 226 federal parliamentarians in Australia. They have let us down for years.

We are going to hold them to account, and make them do their job. And if they don’t, we are going to kick them out.

Find out how

How They Sold Out Australia.
Australians Included.

You can sell a public asset.
You can sell the business down the road.
You can turn someone’s need for care into an investment opportunity.

Keep going and eventually you’re making money from almost everything people need to stay alive.

They secretly changed the rules and now they are selling out our country from under our feet.

We want to show you how that happened and how to stop it happening again. We’ll also show you who made the decisions, who made the money, and what the rest of us are expected to put up with in return.

That includes the parts below. You can find out more by clicking the boxes.

There’s a lot to get through.

Fortunately, they produced paperwork.
We’re going through it.

The Bullshit Meter

Every story gets a rating for how much bullshit we think is going on, and how badly it needs to change or go to a royal commission.

What Enough Does

Enough is a campaign for people who want a fair share of this country and a say in how it’s run.

We’re following the money, checking the records and turning what we find into stories you can actually follow.

You’ll be able to see the documents and check our work.

Then we want something done about it.

We’re asking political candidates to commit to open government and equal opportunity, and to answer for what they do once elected.

What We Want Changed

An Integrity Royal Commission - With a Difference

We are tired of rigged enquiries that go nowhere or which are set up to investigate nobody and get the outcomes they want.

In fact, most of the situation we are faced with has come off the back of a banking Royal Commission, a Disability Royal Commission, a Child Abuse Royal Commission.

Enough.

We want to say who runs our inquiries and we want them to make real change.

We want a Royal Commission for and by the people of Australia, by the people who have been paid to run our country.

What that looks like, we create together.

A federal corruption watchdog with the powers and resources to investigate properly. Criminal conduct prosecuted. Public services that exist to help the people who need them.

Being allowed to vote every few years shouldn’t be the full extent of our involvement in our own bloody country.

What We’re Finding.

Start with a familiar name. A company you’ve heard of. Something that’s happened to you, or a scandal you weren’t yet aware of.

Each story shows what happened, who was involved and where to find the evidence.

You paid for quite a lot of this.
You’re entitled to a bloody explanation.
