Most charities apply to the tax office for deductible gift status. While Morrison was prime minister, 28 organisations were written into the tax law by name, including the Paul Ramsay Foundation and the Ramsay Centre. His last Budget promised the same for 28 community foundations, including Hands Across Canberra.
